Battery life

Hello, my ifive mini 4s tablet seems to have its battery drain unusually quickly and based on the posts in this forum it appears I'm not the only one: https://forum.xda-developers.com ... -4s-tablet-t3590084

When I look at what is using the battery the #1 culprit is "Miscellaneous" with 36% of the battery usage, which Android describes as where it puts the "difference between computed approximate power use and the actual drain observed on the battery". So it seems even the OS is confused as to what is using so much battery life.

In the same forum, I noticed people bought new tablets with the firmware version ifive_mini_4S_1.1.0C installed and they mention that the battery life is great on theirs. So I was wondering, is the battery drain issue something that can be fixed with a firmware update and is this new firmware going to be released so we can try it out? Thanks.

Hi, should the latest firmware version for my tablet still be 1.0.6 or is the 1.1.0C firmware available somewhere? Thanks.

Hello, you can follow the above method in the market to conduct a complete charge-discharge test to correct the battery curve

Hi, for me, letting the tablet completely discharge did not seem to fix the battery curve. It still shows a huge percentage under "Miscellaneous". Is there some other way to correct this? Thanks.

You are going to get a lot of "miscellaneous" battery use because the firmware reports the battery to be way bigger than it actually is. This doesn't affect your battery life or percentage accuracy, just what uses it.

Hello. You can correct the battery curve by how many full charge and discharge tests.

I don't understand what you mean. I did a full discharge and a full charge but the same thing is happening with the majority of battery usage going under miscellaneous.
